Foundational texts such as the Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, and the Atharvaveda have meticulously documented medicinal practices and plant-based remedies. This paper explores the significance of Sanskrit in maintaining the authenticity and continuity of herbal medicinal knowledge, examines the challenges posed by the declining proficiency in Sanskrit, and discusses modern efforts to revitalize and integrate this ancient wisdom into contemporary healthcare.
