The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 envisions instilling in learners a deep-rooted pride in being Indian in thought, spirit, intellect, and actions. Achieving this vision requires institutions to provide not only financial aid but also academic, emotional, and psychological support. Holistic development, through continuous assessment and comprehensive student support, is essential for preparing future teachers and ensuring quality learning outcomes. A significant challenge remains the failure to recognize and nurture students' individual talents. This paper examines student support and professional preparedness practices in teacher education institutions, aiming to address these gaps and enhance the learning experience.
