This study explore the experiences of students who have migrated to Chennai from Manipur after the ethnic conflict happened in 2023–2024. The research focuses on exploring the reasons for their migration, the cultural differences, discrimination they experienced, their living conditions, and how the migration impacted their identity . It also examines the opportunities they found, the challenges they faced with studies, and their social situation in Chennai. The research is done through case study method and Through detailed interviews, the research aims to understand their struggles and adjustments in a new place. The students belonging to Kuki and Naga tribe migrated from Manipur to Chennai because of the ongoing violence and financial instability. In Chennai they struggled with language, culture, and discrimination but tried to adjust with them while maintaining their own traditions. With the help of their teachers, family, and management they made survival easier. Even with many difficulties Chennai provided them with better education and a safer life. More support and understanding are needed to help them settle in while keeping their culture alive.
