Abstract:    In today’s rapidly evolving workplace, technical expertise and cognitive intelligence are no longer sufficient indicators of leadership success. Emotional Intelligence (EI), defined as the ability to perceive, use, understand, and manage emotions in oneself and others, has emerged as a critical competency for effective leadership. This article explores the relationship between emotional intelligence and leadership effectiveness, drawing from empirical research, theoretical models, and real-world applications across diverse work environments. We investigate how EI influences communication, decision-making, team dynamics, and organizational outcomes and propose strategies for developing EI among current and aspiring leaders.
