Emotional Intelligence (EI), defined as the ability to perceive, use, understand, and manage emotions in oneself and others, has emerged as a critical competency for effective leadership. This article explores the relationship between emotional intelligence and leadership effectiveness, drawing from empirical research, theoretical models, and real-world applications across diverse work environments. We investigate how EI influences communication, decision-making, team dynamics, and organizational outcomes and propose strategies for developing EI among current and aspiring leaders.
