Abstract: Most of the pesticides such as permethrin, profenos, alderine and chlorpyrifos effect on male reproductive function, including spermatogenesis and sperm head morphology. Several studies have reported that pesticides caused testicular oxidative stress, which has been linked to infertility and show significant teratogenic, mutagenic, and clastogenic. However, little is known about phytochemicals acting as protective agent against pesticides induced toxicity. Therefore, the aims of the present study were to assess the protective effect of role of Zingiber officinale extract against toxicity induced by Cholorpyrifos on sperm cells in Male Mus musculus. For the research experiment, model animals Mus musculus of the same age group were selected for the research experiment and divided into four experimental variant groups. After the completion of treatment, Sperm counting and sperm head abnormalities parameter were included in this research to investigate the protective effect of Zingiber officinale extract against toxicity induced by chlorpyrifos. The data obtained from the control and treated group are expressed as mean ± SE and ‘t’ test was used to determine by Excel Software and the level of significance is p < 0.05. The result of sperm count was 157.02 ± 3.2 (C), 82.1 ± 3.41 (CPF), 161.62 ± 2.02 (G) and 111.6 ± 2.12 (CPF + G) and result of Sperm head abnormalities - 3.09 ± 0.99 (C), 6.92 ± 1.46 (CPF), 2.56 ± 0.91 (G) and 3.4 ± 1.05 (CPF + G) and it is a significant difference to control and treated groups at p< 0.05.
