Abstract:    The modified conceptual frame work of Ludwig von bertalanffy ‘s general system  theory (1968) Was used for present study. The research design adopted for this study is pre-experimental one group pretest-post test design.T he structured knowledge questionnaire on management of drowning was developed to collect data. A sample of 60 mothers of under-five childrens and non-probability purposive sample technique used. The study revealed that there was significant difference in the pretest and post test knowledge with t value = 15.11,the result depicted that there was a significant improvement of knowledge among mothers of under -five children after the administration of structured teaching program.
