Abstract: The present study aims to document angiospermic diversity of the Kurze dam region of Talasari taluka, Maharashtra, India. One of the well-known bodies of water in the Talasari taluka. It is the short dam, which is an earthfill dam build across the Viroli river. During the present investigation documented a total of 248 species of Angiosperms belonging to 200 genera and 75 families of angiosperms were documented from the Kurze dam. In the study area, both monocotyledon and dicotyledon plants were collected. Out of the 248 species, 209 species under the 167 genera belong to dicotyledon families whereas 39 species of 33 genera belong to monocotyledon families. Fabaceae (43) is the principal family among dicots, while Poaceae (7) is the dominant family among monocots. This documentation serves as a significant contribution to the botanical knowledge of the lesser-studied Kurze Dam area and provides baseline data for future ecological and conservation studies.
