It critically examines the impact of AI technologies on content creation, distribution, and personalization in media industries, highlighting the challenges of integrating AI with existing legal frameworks. The study identifies concerns about the originality and editorial oversight required for AI-generated content to be protected under copyright, and discusses the risks of infringement and the application of copyright exceptions. The research suggests strategies for mitigating biases and enhancing transparency to foster trust and improve user experiences. Additionally, it proposes recommendations for policy adjustments to clarify legal ambiguities and ensure that AI systems align with journalistic standards. The paper also underscores the importance of human oversight to maintain ethical design in AI-driven journalism. Overall, while AI presents opportunities for enhancing efficiency and creativity, it also necessitates careful regulation to protect intellectual property, uphold journalistic integrity, and address societal concerns like bias and job displacement. The study highlights AI's role in journalism and proposes future research agendas, focusing on expanding AI's deployment across various subfields.
